Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage that she started. NRT purchased it for $66 million in 2001. Corcoran soon exited the company. One of the show's original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank to date. In February of 2020, she had signed 53 deals. One of them was a purchase of $350,000 in Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran was second of a family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. moved from job to job during Corcoran's early years. At times, her family relied on deliveries of food for free from a local grocer. Corcoran recalls her father being an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially after having consumed alcohol. Corcoran was a struggle in school, and eventually discovered that she had dyslexia. Corcoran started the high school system at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her departure from her Catholic elementary school. Corcoran was absent from several classes in her first year before transferring to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
